Finally Ready for Fall

Vintage Dress - Housing Works Thrift Shops

Okay, it's now officially fall for me. As you remember from my first post, I'm a summer lover and wanted the warm weather to last for as long as possible! I'm deeply sadden by summer leaving us for awhile. But the good news is that it will be back.

I finally got into the fall mood last week during the renaissance fair in New York City. The renaissance fair is held every year at the beginning of fall in the lovely Fort Tryon park in upper Manhattan. This fair is my favorite fall event and means that fall has officially arrived. I think the slightly cooler weather during the fair also made me realize that the sandals and summer dresses have to be packed away for the season.

I hate to admit it but I'm looking forward to the slightly cooler weather. I'm excited to become reacquainted with my lovely fall sweaters and jackets that have been tucked away for months. But I'm super excited to wear the new pieces that I've recently added to my collection that are perfect for fall. I've been waiting to weeks to wear them.

I've acquired some great new pieces that I can't wait to show you. I've been doing weekly trips to East Village Vintage Collective and have picked up some amazing pieces that I just love. They are perfect for fall. I'll tell you more about East Village Vintage Collective this week.

Just an FYI, I haven't had a chance to officially put away my summer clothes and bring out my fall wardrobe. I've just been so busy blogging and living the best life ever! But I promise to make the closet switch asap. But surely I'm not the only one with a closet still full of summer clothes and sandals. Have you switched out your closet yet? Is your closet all ready for fall? What are your favorite vintage fall pieces?
