I came into the shop wearing:
Blouse - Uniqlo
Skirt - Hamlet's Vintage
Sandals - Steve Madden
Bangles - Housing Works

Hamlet's Vintage is one of my favorite vintage shops! It was the second vintage shop I ever visited many years ago and has a warm place in my heart. Before ever going into the store I remember walking by it a million times and always just staring in from the front door and admiring the vintage t-shirts at the front entrance of the store. I'll never forget the first time I finally went inside the shop. It was located on Bleecker street at the time but has since moved to an amazing and much larger location on west 4th street. After browsing the outside racks of vintage t-shirts I finally made my way into the tiny and cozy shop which . It was a summer day and I was on the hunt for vintage maxi skirts which were all the rage that summer but I wanted vintage ones. I was a bit nervous to enter Hamlet's and wasn't sure if I should even go in. I didn't know how attentive the sales people would be - I kind of wanted to be left alone - and I didn't have the slightest clue about vintage clothes shopping. I was such a newbie and was just getting over the idea that vintage clothes were second hand and "icky" (I love them now, of course!).

The shop was packed with super cute summer floral dress, summer tops and skirts of all lengths and had an amazing selection of vintage purses. They also had a dog! I didn't find the maxi skirt I was looking for but I picked up two floral skirts that I still wear like crazy.

The staff was so nice to and encouraged me to come back as the inventory is always changing (and still does). I was hooked!

This shop has everything I need including a cute dog. I never visit west 4th west street without stopping by Hamlet's vintage. I end up buying something amazing every time. On this featured shopping trip I brought home the pink wool embroidered pencil skirt and Dodgers t-shirt shown in these pics. Hamlet's is my one stop shop for vintage skirts, dresses, shoes, bags, scarves and so much more! And the staff really makes the shopping experience a dream. I have to confess that I love Hamlet's Vintage. <3

Have you been to Hamlet's Vintage? If not, want to  plan a vintage shopping trip there with me sometime really soon?? It's so worth the trip!!

Love,
Leigh <3
