I’m so ready for summer. I remember using #summerisdecember on Instagram just a few months ago. I really enjoyed the mild winter in New York this past winter. I loved not having to wear a super heavy coat and not as many layers as most winters. We all welcomed spring with open arms. I happily unpacked but haven't yet hung up or organized my spring and summer wardrobe. But the weather in New York has been a strange mix of warm, summer like temps and cold rainy days. Needless to say I haven’t put away my winter clothes and boots yet. I’ve had to wear chunky sweaters on several occasions. I’m starting to think this spring will pass us by and turn immediately into summer. I would totally be okay with that as we’ve had some amazing and pleasant days already.
I confessed in my first blog post last September that I’m a summer lover. I have so many fantastic warm weather skirts and dresses that I can’t wait to debut and wear again. I really need some help for my shopping addiction and can’t stop buying more summer dresses and skirts. They truly are my weakness. I recently scored this sweet linen dress from East Village Vintage Collective, one of my favorite vintage stores on the planet. I love everything about this dress and couldn’t wait to wear it. I’ve worn it a few times so far and definitely will be wearing it all spring and summer. I belted the dress with my favorite vintage belt from Hamlet’s Vintage. As it was a rainy day I wore my vintage dusty rose London Fog trench coat from Etsy shop Wild Whisper. I loved the color story of the trench coat and dress. I’m not the biggest lover of pastels but this pastel color combo was absolutely perfect. I topped the look with my favorite lace up flats from Steve Madden. I keep wearing these so much because they are super comfy and go with everything. I just love how they can dress up anything. I have to get a duplicate pair or two of them. I also discovered a slightly new hair do that I’ll keep rocking for a while. It makes me feel super fem and vintage.
