Summer is Here
Are you super excited for summer like me? It feels just yesterday that I wrote about being ready for summer in my Ready for Summer Fashion post. As I predicted summer in New York City came too quickly. We went from pleasant, light jacket weather to 95°/beach weather. But I'm not complaining. Summer means I can finally dig into my massive vintage summer skirt and dress collection. I have to admit that I kind of forgot how to dress for the super hot and humid weather. At the start of the "heat wave" I was wearing my vintage mumu dresses. But after doing some serious people watching I remembered and was inspired to wear sleeveless tops with skirts.
I found this super cute nautical printed skirt in my stash from Etsy shop The Kissing Tree and was so excited to wear it this past memorial day weekend. I bought it in the winter and was so happy to finally wear this beauty. I love this skirt's colors and fun print. Navy blue is one of my favorite colors to wear. I also love this skirt length - the longer the better for me... I paired it with a white button down short sleeve blouse from Uniqlo. I have a few of these but want to get more. I wear them with just about everything. I broke out my huaraches from Steve Madden. I scored them from DSW a few summer's ago and love their retro feel. I'm a huge admirer of hat's and was over the moon when I finally found this vintage one at Hamlet's Vintage that actually fit my head with curls out and all. I'll surely be wearing this one all summer long!!
Are you ready for summer? What's your favorite go to summer outfit?
