Summer Happy

Happy for Summer

I'm completely in summer mode. Not sure if you caught my first blog post Summer Lover, but summer is my favorite season. I'm addicted to the carefree days and warm weather. I have some amazing skirts and dresses in my vintage stash that I've been dying to wear for months. I usually buy vintage pieces even if they are out of season. My fellow vintage lovers know that nothing haunts us like the vintage we didn't buy. If I see it and love it, I have to buy it. I have to say that I've been devastated recently over missing out on buying several vintage pieces that I didn't snatch up as soon as I saw them. I didn't want that to be the case for this fabulous vintage 80's tent dress from vintage Etsy shop Disco Leaf.

I fell in love with the vibrant colors and print on this dress. I also love the baggy and super comfortable fit. I just had to have this dress and could see my self dressing it up with cute lace up flats, a fun strappy sandals or dressing it down with a pair of Converse sneakers. I paired this dress with my favorite summer hat  from Hamlet's Vintage. I can't get enough of this vintage straw hat. It fits perfectly and goes with everything! For accessories I wore this cute red purse thrifted from Housing Works Thrift Shops. I wasn't sure if the red would go with the colors an print in this dress but I think it works. I've really been into mixing bright and vibrant colors together lately. I'll never leave the house without sunglasses and wore these from Friends NYC Vintage. I love how these go so well with just about everything I wear. I topped off this look with gold sandals I scored from Zara last summer. I love that these also go with everything. But I just wish they were a little more comfortable....
