As you may know I'm a huge fan of shopping online. I think half of what's in my closet was bought online. It's just so easy and convenient and who doesn't love opening a package once it arrives. It's still a thrill even though you know what's in it. The only trick to buying vintage online is knowing your measurements to ensure the perfect fit. But I'll share my tips to buying vintage online in future post.
I thank Instagram once more for helping me find another awesome online vintage shop. After attending A Current Affair in Brooklyn not too long ago, I checked out some of the pics from the show. I came across this amazing photo posted by Sister Vintage, a really cool online shop selling well curated, quality vintage clothing and accessories from the 1940's to the 1990's. After commenting on this awesome pic of two of my favorite vintage loving ladies, I grabbed the attention of Sister Vintage. I was elated to receive an e-mail from them shortly after inviting me to partake in one of the best collaborations I've ever done.
They suggested this awesome vintage kimono from the 1940's that literally almost made me swoon. I tried my hardest to hide it but I went nuts over this beautiful kimono as I put it on. I've been obsessed with kimonos for years and have been looking for one like this for about two years. I'm so bummed that I didn't grab this one before it sold. It fit like a dream and was the most luxurious and beautiful thing I've ever worn (next to my wedding dress, hehe). Make sure you check out Sister Vintage's on-line shop which is filled with the cutest vintage pieces. Also, give them a follow on Instagram and Facebook!
