How to Wear a Beret

Hopping on the Beret Trend

Are you a hat wearer? I used to never wear hats. But I've totally fallen in love with them! They are the perfect accessory and I love how they can really turn a bad hair day into a much better one. This past summer I scored two amazing vintage straw hats and wore them to death. Now I'm om the hunt for some winter hats especially berets which are so in style right now. My favorite beret loving babe is fellow blogger, A Fashion Nerd. She wears them so well!

I don't know what it is about berets that I love so much. Maybe because it's one of the easiest hat silhouettes to wear and looks amazing on just about anyone. I've been asked so many times by friends while out and about shopping "how do you wear a beret?". My answer is always "wear it anyway you like. They look great worn so many different ways". Like most hats I personally like them worn towards the back of the head with a bit of hair peaking out at the front. But berets really can be worn a number of ways. They can be worn to the side which the most common and fashionable way and also how I wore mine in these photos. They also can be worn fully covering the head and ears more like a beanie. So go out and grab yourself a beret and wear it anyway you want. I promise that you'll fall in love with them as much as I did!

Where did I get my beret, did you ask? I scored it from The Bargain District at the Holiday Vintage Holiday Pop-Up Show by Manhattan Vintage Show. By the way, are you going to their next show on February 3 & 4th? Check out my outfit details below!!
