The Perfect Pink Coat (from Down House Vintage)Pink is such a girly color. I don't know why I love it so much. I'm so not a girly girl. I love the juxtaposition of a tom boy look with just a touch or hint of feminine flair. Pink somehow allows me to feel extra girly no matter how I wear it. I'm certainly partial to pink and have been known to buy to pick something just because it's pink. Needlessly to say my dream home or dream car would totally be pink if I had the option of picking the color. Hehe.
It's so funny how I struggled to find vintage coats a little over a year ago. I searched every vintage and thrift shop I knew. I even searched department stores looking for vintage inspired coats. But luckily I found some really awesome ones on Etsy and then had the best luck finding ones in vintage shops after a short hiatus from looking. A friend officially named me the coat queen last winter since I wore the most colorful and fun coats. I am certainly proud of my vintage coat collection that slowly keeps growing.
I recently added the coat from my last post New Year, New Me and one I scored from Instashop Recap Vintage to my coat closet (stay tuned to a future post for this coat). I was super stoked when I found this 80s wool coat from Etsy shop Down House Vintage. I had been looking for a pink coat for ages. I love the shape, silhouette and perfectly pink color of this coat. It makes such a statement and is such a head turner which is exactly why I love it so much!
