The Perfect Summer Outfit

Summer Fashion

What makes the perfect summer outfit? For me it has to be comfortable, in a breathable fabric and it has to have the perfect amount of cuteness. Although I’m a summer lover, I’m not a huge fan of extreme heat with humiditiy. I'm such a huge sweater and hate being too overheated. At one point and time I took a break from wearing vintage in the summer because of all of the sticky and sythetic fabrics. But as I’ve gotten wiser over the years and become a true vintage girl, I’ve learned to opt for cotton or linen fabrics for the summer. So, my summer wardrobe now consists of cotton, linen or cotton line blends only. No exeptions. Hehe.

While most girls feel cute and cool in cut off shorts and tanks, I’m more than happy and super comfy in a cotton maxi dress or skirt. During the last heat wave in New York City, I was reminded how cool cotton really is to wear. It’s super breathable and oh, so comfortable. And lets not forget about the amazing color we can all rejoice about wearing in the summer months. I scored this cotton plaid maxi skirt from 10ft Single by Stella Dallas ages ago and finally got around to wearing it. It’s amazing how so many pieces have been sitting in my closet for ages just waiting to be worn. Ha. I recently scored this super cute off-the-shoulder top from Disco Leaf Vintage. I don’t think I’ll ever get over the off the shoulder look.

Check out my outfit details below:
