Pink Plaid & Florals for Fall? Yes, please!

Pink Fall Fashion Look

Omg. I'm literally the worst blogger! I haven't posted in ages! Life has been kinda busy and I've just been taking it easy while maybe being a touch lazy when it comes to working on a new blog post. But my summer was pretty amazing, fashion week was awesome but wore me out as per usual, lol. BUT I'm super excited for fall and fall fashion!!! I wore a small selection of my summer clothes on repeat and am so happy to change it up and layer for the new season.

Now, normally I'm all for the classic and traditional fall colors. I tend to opt for a lot of navy blue which is my black and burgundy with small touches of pink. But after switching over my closet for the season and not being too inspired by the sea of dark blues and darker hues in general, I decided that I'm not going to give up on my brighter, happier colors just yet. I'm going to work them into fall and maybe even winter, because why not and my biggest style mott is "you have to wear what makes you feel your very best".

And wearing unexpected color and mixing in florals for fall is officially my thing. It makes me feel alive. I'm totally not one to mix prints either. But when I was hanging up some new vintage goodies, I just kept admiring how sweet this floral dress from Amarcord looked with this epic plaid blazer from Red Key Threads! I was super stocked to try this look for my introduction to fall fashion. And how out of this world is this lime green purse from Aarica Nichole???!!! Thank goodness sneakers are still happening, cuz comfy shoes are a must. Now I officially look like a 2001 woman rushing to her 5:55 train at Penn Station. Lol!! *The fondest fashion memory I have of New York City is staring in amazement at all the ladies wearing skirt suits with gym sneakers while they were walking through midtown headed for their trains or busses home during rush hour.

What are you looking forward the most to wearing this fall??

*I dedicate this blog post to my dear friend, Maggie who sadly lost her battle with cancer on October 15, 2019. She was my biggest cheerleader and supporter when I started Pink Vintage Heart and for that, I will be eternally grateful!
